A CHURCH SERVING TRYON NC
SUNDAYS AT 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. | 195 NEW MARKET ROAD, TRYON NC, 28782
A PLACE YOU CAN CALL HOME
We are a friendly and active church that seeks to love God and share God's love with our neighbors far and near.
WE LOVE OUR KIDS
Your kids will love our church! We want to create a place where the entire family can belong and love following Jesus.
COMMUNITY FOR YOU
All persons who follow Jesus are called to grow spiritually through the practice of various Christian habits such as prayer, Bible Study, private and corporate worship, and acts of service. As members of Tryon UMC grow through the means of grace, they will assume their own role in ministry and help others in the same way. This is the cycle of disciple making.

Sunday Worship
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
There is a large upper chucrh parking lot on New Market Road just past Bickford Avenue. Enter the church through the double doors off that parking lot.
We offer a children's sermon for young folks during our Sunday worship. Following that sermon, children can head to our supervised church nursery or are invited and welcome to remain for worship.
Visiting a new church, or re-connecting after a long while, can be an uncomfortable, and often confusing experience. We always work hard to make everyone feel welcome and to make your worship experience fulfilling and uplifting. Everyone is invited to worship and serve a God of love and peace.
We invite you to a 45 minute Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. We meet in the Comfort Shawl room next to the Sanctuary. There is also a Tuesday morning Study offered at 11:00 AM in the Comfort Shawl room. All are welcome to attend as often as you are able.
We invite you to be part of our chancel choir. No audition necessary. Just a love of singing and fellowship. Weekly practice is at 5:00 PM on Wednesday evenings in the Choir Practice Room. We invite you to stop by our handbell practice on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM. We are a small group but love learning and helping each other sound good !
We partner with community organizations and area churches to deliver weekly meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. We collect new coats during the year so they can be given out in early winter. Our congregational care ministry areas provide handmade shawls as a source of comfort to those inside and outside the wallls of the church going through difficult times. These shawls symbolize the love that Christ gives no matter what life experiences we happen to endure. Over 500 shawls have been personally delivered and prayed over. This church has extensive care ministry groups which follow God's command to love one another as God loves us, showing God's love through prayer, care, and support. Whatever your gift or talent, God can use you. Please call the church office at (828) 859-9218 for more information or use the drop down menu at the top of this page to learn more about our care ministries and community partnerships.
